Charles Herbert "Herby" Wriston

Charles Herbert "Herby" Wriston, 68, of Scarbro, WV passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, WV.
Born February 25, 1948, at Kilsyth, WV he was the son of the late Herman and Vida Bragg Wriston.
Herby was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era, earning the Purple Heart and Navy Achievement Medal with Combat V. He worked as a machine repair operator.
Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Linda Chisholm Wriston; six sons; Michael (Liz) Wriston, Charles A. (Stacey) Wriston, Robert (Andrea) Wriston, Joseph (Mandy) Wriston, Phillip Wriston, and Christopher Wriston; one daughter, Stephanie (Frank) Gilkerson; two sons at heart, Robert Dale Roop, and Pete Smith; one brother, Alfred Wriston; and two sisters; Sandra Hall, and Mona Theim.
Also surviving fifteen grandchildren, Zack Zink, Hali Zink, Nikolas Wriston, Daniel Kayne Wriston, Summer Wriston, River Wriston, Daniel Joseph Wriston, Reagan Wriston, Hailey Fazio, Lola Wriston, Jarret Wriston, Traven Palms, Davien Palms, Shaun Palms, and Noel Palms; and four great grandchildren, Allen Zink, Hunter Zink, Brooklyn Zink, and Isaac McGuire
Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Mossy Living Word Church with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
Visitation for friends will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, January 22, 2016 at the Mossy Living Word Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
