Charles E. Vest, Sr. , 81, of Cleveland, OH formerly of Lochgelly, WV died on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, OH.
Born January 17, 1935 at Lochgelly, WV he was the son of the late Homer Vest, Sr. and Kathleen Cox Vest.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran Korean War. He was a retired member Carpenter's Local 21.
His wife, Louanna Gail Woodrum Vest; and siblings, Homer Vest, Jr., Nancy Thomas, Sarah Austin, and Joyce Parsons preceded him in death.
He was a loving father to Charles E. Vest, Jr. (Terrie Bolyard) and Michael Vest (Victoria); dearest Pa Pa of Chelsea Bolyard, Shelby, C.J., and Jackie (Alexis Ringlein); and dear brother of Betty Rodes and Leah Browning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Bill McClung officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
