Carol Sue Menei

On October 29th, 2018, after a long, courageous battle Carol Sue Ercole Menei joined her beloved husband, Johnny in Heaven. Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully at Bowers Hospice House.

Born February 21st, 1942 in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Claudia Clyburn Ercole.

Known affectionately as “Nannie” Carol loved cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Johnny Menei; sisters, Betty Sizemore and Mildred Snodgrass; and brother, John Ercole.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, John C. Menei II of Hilltop; and daughter, Kimberly Menei Ferrell and husband, Jack of Charleston; and three grandchildren, John C. Menei III of Glen Jean, Morgan Clements and husband, Michael of Anderson, SC, and Samantha Mackay and husband, Jeremy of Beckley. Carol also leaves behind her kitty Noodles whom she loved dearly.

Nannie Carol is also survived by adored great grandchildren, Peyton and Maddox Clements and Paige and Charlotte Mackay; as well as a host of family and friends.

Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with with Father Soosai Arokiadass officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
