Betty Kathern Ferguson Maroney , 101, of Oak Hill, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born July 27, 1915 at Packs Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late George Riley and Mae Ferguson.
Betty was a member of the Kilsyth Free Will Baptist Church and in years past had attended the Packs Branch Baptist Church.
Her husband, George Michael Maroney; son, Billy Gene Maroney; daughters, Linda Marie Maroney and Mary Louise Maroney; sisters, Ollie Kiddy, Helena Kinkaid and Ethel Adkins and a brother, Cabell Ferguson preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby (Barbara) Maroney of Beckley and George Pat (Kim) Maroney of Oak Hill; five daughters, Delorse Georgio of Rochester, NY, Eunice Peck of Oak Hill, Sandra (Tommie) Holley of Beckley, Betty Kathren (Johnny) Neely of Surveyor and Brenda Emmons of Greenfield, IN; twenty four grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren; twenty four great-great grandchildren; and two nieces, Betty Rae Fite and Patty Adkins.
Services will be on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
