Zona “Bub” Lee Hannah went home to be with the lord peacefully in Montgomery General Hospital in Montgomery, WV on Saturday July 7th 2018 at the age of 71.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan “Susie” Hannah, of Page, WV. Bub and Susie were married for 50 wonderful years. Bub is also survived by his brother and sister, Timothy Hannah (Charlton Heights, WV) and Judy Suttle (North Carolina)—three children, Lisa Workman (Hernshaw, WV) Richard Hannah (Page, WV), and Joey Hannah (Friendship, MD)—seven grandchildren, Joseph “Jo Jo” Hannah, Whitley Sneed, Brittney Williams, Shianna Workman, Richard Hannah Jr., Autumn Hannah, and Abigail Hannah—and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Everett Estel and Lela Ella White Hannah, and his brother, Thomas “Tom” Hannah.
Bub was born on February 28th 1947 in Robson, WV. Starting at the age of 16, he worked in the coal industry for 45 years, retiring as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Bud also loved his church and church family and enjoyed singing for the lord.
The viewing will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, WV on July 9th from 6pm to 8pm, and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held at the Open Bible Temple in Powellton, WV on July 10th at 11am with Rev. Delmas Wolfe, and Pastor Greg Toney officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bub’s life.
