Rita Lynn Wingrove Allen , 67, of Pax, WV died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born June 03, 1950 at Long Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late Other and Thelma Humphrey Wingrove.
Rita was a 1968 graduate of Mount Hope High School and a graduate of the Beckley Beauty Academy. She was a former cook at Bayberry Retirement Inn and Kelly's Korner. She was a member of the Long Branch United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Wingrove and by a sister Sandra Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Allen and wife, Amanda of Maple Fork and Robert Allen and Kelly of Oak Hill; two brothers, Dennis Wingrove and wife Ruth of Pax and Robert Wingrove and wife Jane of Dothan; sister, Louanne Thornquest and husband Rick of Pax; and four grandchildren
In honoring her wishes, Rita will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Long Branch United Methodist Church at Pax with Rev. Mervin Sizemore officiating. Interment of her cremains will be held privately by her family at the Dock Lively Cemetery in Long Branch.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.
