Margaret Irene Hildebrand

Margaret Irene Hildebrand, 89, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on July 31, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born in Monongah, Marion County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Emma Pyles and Herbert Harden.
A 1945 graduate of East Fairmont High School, Fairmont, WV, Margaret graduated from Morris Harvey College and received a Master of Arts reading specialist from WVU.
Margaret taught from 1969 through 2012 for the Fayette County Board of Education. She felt it was an honor to teach her students throughout her career. She received the Golden Apple award.
She was also a den mother for boy scouts; past member for Oak Hill Junior Women’s Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Margaret’s greatest achievement was raising her three sons.
She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers Ralph, Howard, George, and Berkley which all served in the US Armed Forces and 3 sisters Juanita, Martha, and Frances.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald; and her 3 sons, Gerry (Margaret) Hildebrand, Terry (Karen) Hildebrand, and Dr. Keith (Anne) Hildebrand of Morgantown; grandchildren: Samantha, Krissy, Dr. Jessica Stacy, Samantha, Amber, April, Chris, Christopher, Kevin, Julia, Megan, Dr. Ashley Hildebrand, Kelly, Kacey, and Allie; and twenty three great-grand children.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to Margaret’s doctors, care givers, friends and anyone who helped with her care.

Service will be held Friday August 4, 2017 at 1:00 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
