John Edward Davis

John Edward Davis , 74, of Lochgelly, WV passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 4, 1943 in Lochgelly he was the son of the late James and Ann Treadway Davis.

John worked as a mine electrician. He was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, and 1961 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill, and a US Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Deanna Carter Davis; brother, Charles “Cooter” Davis; and a sister, Patricia Worlledge.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Wanda Anita Davis; one son, Kevin Davis and friend, Cheryl Luker; a stepson, Charlie Webb and wife, Tracy; and a step daughter, Mary Ann Webb Hunziker and husband, Todd; eight grandchildren, Andrew Davis, Heath Bridges, and Alisha Roach, Cameron Webb, Zachary Webb, Luke Hunziker, Sam Hunziker, and Rodney Woodson; a brother; Roger Davis; and a sister, Phyllis Davis.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Eagle and Pastor Charlie Webb officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park with military graveside rites.

Visitation for friends will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill from 6:00 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
