Hermie William Martin, 96, of Oak Hill, WV joined his wife, Bernice, in heaven on Sunday, October 29, 2017.
Born April 10, 1921 in Garden Ground, WV he was the son of the late Joseph and Annie Huggins Martin.
He was also preceded in death by siblings Leonard, Katie, Bertha, Leona, Stella, & Margie; and son, Curtiss.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Keith Martin, Darrell (Mae) Martin, and Ronnie (Kim) Martin; daughter-in-law, Jean Martin; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and even some great, great grandchildren.
Papaw Hermie was a precious man who loved God and his family. He was a retired coal miner and long time member of Mountain View Church of God and the UMWA.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
