Hazel Mae Conner

September 19, 1929 — October 10, 2017

Hazel Mae Conner, 88, of Oak Hill, WV went to Heaven Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Hidden Valley in Oak Hill and is reunited with her husband Norman.

Born September 18, 1929 in Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Pricilla Bryant Steele.

She was a 1948 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a long time member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill.

A retired school teacher for the Fayette County Board of Education, she spent all of her years teaching at Rosedale Elementary School in Oak Hill.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Jewel, and Irene Steele.

Left to cherish her memory is one loving son, Keith “KC' Conner and wife, Paula of Oak Hill; three grandsons, Peter Michael Pavlik and his wife, Tiffany of Winston Salem, NC., John Norman Conner and wife, Bramble of Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC., and Patrick Sean Conner of Cleveland, OH.; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Paul Waugh, a step brother of Roanoke, VA., and Lloyd Steele a brother from Utah.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Greg Swisher officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call the funeral home two hours before service time.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
