Edward Lee Jones, age 58 of Gatewood, WV passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017.

Born March 8, 1959 in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Franklin Edward and Betty Mae Cody Jones.

Edward was a builder, tour guide, farmer and dad. He was a professional white water tour guide for the past 39 years, land manager and business man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Cecil Jones.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Lynn Jones of Charleston, his two sons, Jonthan Edward Jones of Beckley and Edison Jones of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Mahayla, Magnolia, Jesslyn, Traci and Gerry; brothers, Franklin Ray Jones of Fayetteville, James William Jones of St. Albans, Lee Roy Jones of Oak Hill and Jimmy Cody Jones of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Calvin Advent Christian Church, Gatewood Road with Pastor Robert Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Bibb Cemetery at
Gatewood.

Friends may call at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, from 6-9 PM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Carl Lee Jones, Nancy Cody McGinnis, Eddie Monroe, Cecil Gibson,
Gerald Hopkins and Mark Shockey will serve as pallbearers.
