The Lord received another angel home when Barbara Allen Epperly McGuffin of Oak Hill, WV went to be with Him on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born at Fayetteville, WV she was the daughter of the late Earl O. and Mary Louise Moses Epperly.
A life-time resident of Fayette County, Barbara was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, and the Red Hat Society.
A son, Lonnie Neal "Bubby" Walters, III; sister, Margurite Null; and brothers, C.D. "Doug" Epperly, Randolph Epperly and Myles Epperly preceded her in death.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Emory W. McGuffin; son, Emory Dennis "Denny" (Cindy) McGuffin of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Jean (Keith) Hunt, Betty Nahodil, and Shirley Shumaker; her adored grandchildren, Emory Alexander McGuffin, Haley Kaitlyn McGuffin and Seth Cobb-McGuffin; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Vondie Cook, Sr. officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
