Anna Lou Holt

Anna Lou Boothe Holt, 88, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury NJ.

She was born on August 12, 1927 in Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edgar L. Boothe and Mary Martha Blake Boothe.

Anna was a 1945 graduate of Oak Hill High School, she worked for 30 years in the United States Department of Agriculture and Farm services agency in WV, she was a member at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Anna was part of the Quota Club International, she was a member of Shirley Donnely Sunday school class. Anna served on the Board of Directors for the Putnam County committee on Aging, she was a member of the WV Bowling Association, she served on the Oak Hill City Council, and the City Council at Large, Anna also served as a Mayor of Oak Hill, and she was selected 2004 Fayette County Woman of the year.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Jack Holt..

Those left to cherish her memories include one son, Jack Holt and wife Valerie of Oak Hill, WV, one daughter, Henri Ann Olsen and husband Doug of Mickleton, NJ; five grandchildren, Zachary Holt and wife Jess of Tecumseh, MI, Ian Holt and fiance Kayla Richardson of Huntington, WV, Elijah Holt of Oak Hill, WV, Shane Olsen of Philadelphia, PA, and Dan Olsen and wife Mona of Mantua, NJ; two great grandchildren Payton Holt daughter of Zachary and Jess Holt, and Ajay son of Dan and Mona Olsen.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV, with Rev. David Snead and Rev. Mark Wood officiating.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to service. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV.
